Tuesday 20-20-2022 Within the framework of the activities of the International Volunteer Day, the Misr Al -Khair Foundation organized a round table today, Tuesday, December 20, under the title "The Egyptian Volunteering Movement and the opportunities for growth", in which 30 experts and representatives of the local and international bodies sponsoring volunteering participated. During the activities of the meeting, Egypt's good experience in volunteering was reviewed, as well as reviewing the current situation of volunteering and supporting initiatives in Egypt, while presenting volunteering contributions and youth initiatives in achieving sustainable development. The table has discussed several axes, as follows: * The first axis: the Egyptian volunteer movement (challenges / growth opportunities). * The second axis: the current contribution of the volunteer movement and initiatives to achieving the sustainable development agenda and national projects. The future of the partnership between the private sector and both the governmental and private sectors were also discussed in order to support the volunteering movement and youth initiatives in Egypt while supporting development efforts. This, Mohamed Mamdouh, head of the development associations sector at the Foundation, announced the launch of the Egyptian Volunteer Action Charter for Sustainable Development, and Mamdouh stressed that this charter comes within the framework of the events witnessed by Egypt to celebrate the International Day of Volunteering.
